EDIT: Are those ropes running over the tracks in the closeup pics?!.. I might enjoy riding the things, but hot damn you could not pay me enough to hang off a rope from the top to build or paint the thing. :shocked:

i used to work at cedar point this summer. it's a fun place... the tall yellow and red coaster is Top Thrill Dragster. at one point it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world... i think some coaster in japan has it beat now. that having been said, it may be a fun place to go but they're asses to work for. i was supposed to work in the arcade but they put me as a carnie! they wouldnt transfer me back to the arcade even though i told them i wasnt comfortable in the job. so after a few weeks of them being jerks to me i quit and worked at blockbuster the rest of the summer which was sooooo much better.

i havent ridden top thrill dragster because i hate roller coasters. i worked at the park to get out of my house and away from my parents. my sister lives like 30 min away so i lived with her for the summer and worked there and blockbuster. blockbuster was literally like 2 minutes from my sisters house so i saved a lot of gas working there.

PS if u think you want to work at cedar point do NOT work there. they are absolute jerks to work for!
 
cedar point is located in sunny sandusky ohio! well at least its sunny in the spring and summer.... it opens back up in may i think.... its a fun place to hang out and such... hope you get there on a good day if you go rook, cause sometimes there are problems with the coaster and it closes for a day.... halloween is my favorite time to go cause at night they have the place decked out in haunted houses and stuff... its not that scary though cause its for little kids too... but its worth the trip to sandusky to go there... theres a hotel adjacent to the park. cedar point owns the hotel as well... also check out these rides at cedar point.

If I recall, doesnt' CP hold a record for just the sheere number of roller costers too? - nto to mention all the crazy records, stand up costers, etc etc..

I've been wantign to go there for years now, but still haven't had the chance.

I have ridden Magnum's big(?) borther "The Big One" (creative huh?) in Blackpool, England. Wholy freakign wow. On man, now I'm in a coster mood.

- Mikko ... has also ridden then then even bigger "Goliath" at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Cali. Not as cool as The Big One tho.

you are correct sir. it does hold the record for most coasters etc (last time i checked anyway). magnum's a fun coaster. i don't like riding coasters but my brother in law literally dragged me on a lot of them... not top thrill though.. no way i would get on that. my niece went on it with my brother in law (my niece is 15) and came off pale.... it shoots you off so fast and you go so high i can't get myself to get on it. but back to the topic at hand... you are correct about the records last time i checked.
 
That's freakin' awesome! I live in Santa Clarita, and go to Six Flags, Magic Mountain quite often. They have I think 15 coasters! I'm a thrill ride addict, yeah!
