Who thinks this is legit?

Oh, it's legitimate, alright. Legitimate grey market with no accessories, manual, or lens cap, and you have to buy all the stuff underneath it (including the Digital camera batteries they are offering--ha ha ha).

Of course you may or may not get your camera within the next six months . . . or ever.
 
I'm curious-- why would anyone even DREAM of dropping that kind of money on a camera somewhere where they were wondering if it's 'legit?'

If you have to ask... it's probably not a good idea.

Just go to EVS. Or B&H. Or any of 100 othere places that won't screw you.

It's always funny that this keep coming up all the time... I guess people want the cameras so bad that they'll believe anything...

I mean would they go buy a house for $65,000 when all the houses around it go for... $100,000.. the first thing they should thing is... there must be something wrong with the house... at least I'd think most normal people would...

So why doesn't this apply to the camera market as well...
 
Everyone wants to be that 1 guy that 'got the great deal'
Instead we wind up with thousands of guys who get screwed by shady companies.

These people really are fake. Dont buy from them.

Well, coming from someone who is a cheap ass (as in me), I was toying around with bestpricecameras (which from the link Luis supplied is the same people you posted). After reading posts here I decided that I would rather spend a little extra and get my camera than try to save a few bucks and perhaps NEVER see anything or not much at all. I PM'd Rush from EVS, he was on vacation and advised several people at the store I should talk to so called store and hooked up with Ramzi. I now have the dvx100b. IMO when you are spending that kind of money go with the proven legit.

I bought My DVX100b from Infinitiphoto, and my buddy just ordered his and just arrived from infiniti photo...

I dunno i Heard bad reviews we never had Problems

DID get DVX Book
DID get DVX dvd
umm got my 5.6 Battery,
3 lens filter kit
warrenty....

wont be able to get the 200 dollar Rebate because its not regonized as authourized dealler
But hey i got my DVX100b, so heyo....im happy...
yeah ive delt with EVS also, definatly better with customer service!!

im just sayin i got my dvx and im satisfied

if you got the money go with EVS,

as long as you do the reasearch and know the risks, no problem.
Just know what you're getting into.

And by the way Fusionist - I don't think anyone was judging you - at least that wasn't my intention.
 
If your wanting to save that much money on a camera just go to ebay. Since ebay is a case based search you can save multitudes of cash by just changing the search. Case in point, I sold my XL1 and bought an ag dvx100. Now the first was listed as the p and very few people searching for that camera knew that so when I went to buy one I just listed ad dvx100p and was able to buy one for $200-$400 less then the same camera selling under ag dvx100. I got a great camera, case, three batteries and filter set for $2000.
