Honestly, I don't do that much Tripod work other than locked down shots. My 504 is going to be repurposed for a long term project so I had to decide wether to buy another 504 or something else. One thing I dislike about the 504 is how heavy it is. The Ace is a little lighter so as long as it will hold the weight of the camera and will perform on par with the manfrotto I will be happy enough. That being said, I'm hoping it will outperform it even if it's not as good as the premium sachtlers. I'd go into B&H but I just don't have time or patience for what B&H has turned into.
