Who here is represented as a Director

Hey guys,

just thought id pose the question.

My short has got me some attention, and Im started to get approached by some of the bigger names,

Im a confident film maker but so so at the business side, looking for some advise.

What questions do you have? I am not as far along as you are talent wise (your short is still to this day one of my favs), but i do have access to many some people in the industry and im actually TA for a film class right now.

My prof is a writer/script doctor, and has worked AD, script supervisor, just about every major crew role on actual films and used to direct a lot more back in the day. She is going to direct some of the projects we are currently working on, i can usually always go to her with questions about getting gigs etc...

Hey Jon,

Thats cool, thanks for writing, ive been meaning to give you notes on your short, as i remember saying i would, i actually watched it through twice, but things have jut been hectic,

youve got some good potential there,

and i know oyu said it was rough when you linked me, ill give you my main crit points though, if your in a class im sure you know them, anyhow. watch the cropping, I thought the head room was often a bit out, and i have to say i found your editing a bit chaotic, being a shooter/ editor i know its tempting to use everything you shoot sometimes, but i thought you had two many shots that were the sam but slightly different angles. Try to get some more establishing shots in there, makes it easier for the audience to follow the action.

As far as my stuffs going, i was kinda hoping i might find some reppd directors,
ive spoken to some reppd writers on another forum and they were really helpful, but its not quite the same deal. anyhoo, ill keep in tap.
