Whites too hot...

I occasionally still shoot with my DVX as B Camera with my HVX setup. For the most part they match up well, though the whites on my DVX get blown out a lot. Lowering the iris just darkens everything. I've messed with the settings but can't seem to pinpoint how to keep my image generally the same but lower the exposure on my whites. Is this a gamma thing? I'm using cine-gamma and it matches my HVX pretty well...other than the blow out thing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Which DVX? On the original (DVX100P), CineGamma has no knee whatsoever, and thus blowouts are sudden and nasty, and might make matching hard in certain scenes if you want to retain the highlight range of the HVX.... the only way to help is, use a different gamma or darken both cams overall. On the later DVXs (A and B) and the HVX, cinegammas have a knee (albeit non-adjustable)... so they're easier to match in cene.
