White & Nerdy

Okay, so this is my dorky side coming out... been a friend/fan of Al Yankovic's for quite some time and he just uploaded the first single for his upcoming album to YouTube for everyone to see. Dunno how many people here will be familiar with the original song (it's Chamillionaire's "Ridin'"), but I thought that it may be of interest since it's video related. Plus, there are more than a couple white and nerdy people hanging out on this forum. Yeah, you know who you are!

Hehe, anyway, here's the link:

HAHA, someone on the You Tube page said something like "Best song since your last one. Props for having the first music video to feature an O' Reilly book."

That's even a nerdy comment!

...and also one that I totally would have made.

I am a Weird Al fan...but this one is lost on me cause I don't know the source material that is being parodied, nor will i make an attempt to research it (besides, rap music is already a joke in itself)

I dont know either Callaghan, however I know how talented Al is as far as getting the music right (if you can call rap music) And getting the lyrics to match the real song. So I got a kick out of it. Big fan here. I saw Weird Al in concert back in the late 80's twice! I dreamed that one day I would join forces with Al. My kids love him too. He's clean, funny, and disses alot of the trashy music out there.

Classic stuff...

My Bologna
Another One Rides The Bus
Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies
Y-O-D-A
Eat It
Fat
Like A Surgeon
(This Song's Just) Six Words Long
I Think I'm a Clone Now
Bedrock Anthem
Amish Paradise
The Saga Begins
Pretty Fly For A Rabbi

Not a fan... but that was funny. I guess you'd have to be familiar with the original (which I don't really care for, but it's catchy).

And he spoofed the Star Wars kid. :)

Hard to tell on youtube, but I do believe that was Donny Osmond in the background dancing. And if so, he just took a step towards Hoff-ness.

(and check out Jimerson with the obscure lyric reference!)

It's indeed Donny Osmond. :)

It moves pretty fast, but there are also cameos by Seth Green, Judy Tenuta, and Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele of MadTV.

Dear, god... I feel so ashamed.....

I match so many of the comments in there :(

I'm not white and nerdy though... Right? Damnit!

I'm gonna make a list, this is horrible.

Ok...

I played D&D, went to a magnet school. I have action figures lol. I had to recite pi to a long point. I am a programmer too :( I have comic books mounted on my walls... I know all of monty pythons movies. I love star trek... I was in chess team in high school :(

I've been to renfests a few times. (Though not of my own accord)

I WOULD LOVE to get the star wars holiday special!
