I have not touched the video camera for a month or so and i turn it on, everything is fine, see through the viewfinder and it records... the lcd screen is white and does not change, I have tried powering off on, wiggle it etc.

Anybody have any advice?

Thanks,
Sean

Why did you go a month without touching your camera?

Was your camera banged around? Left in a damp/moist area? Any other issues?

i dunno, busy wit school, only have been doing editing jobs so no need for it. Theres no banging arond or moisture problems i know about

How well is the lcd attached to the camera? Is it still pretty secure or is it feeling like it's about to fall off?

Are you seeing time code/battery/settings or is it just pure white?

pretty secure, i feel it may be some lose circuit, i wanna open the plate up where the lcd attaches to the cam

Ah ha, mine is brand new unopened ( old stock box, ) zero hours ! I turned it on and the screen is only showing white, so I bought it thinking maybe I can get that repaired ?

Do you think it could be still be covered by warranty ? just asking ? :)

UPDATE : Turns out after taking it to a Panasonic Tech, they found it had most of its PCB parts inside missing ?

Suggesting it was used as a Donor Camera back in the day as most new cameras have short supply of spare parts for a while when newly released ?

So it must have been put back in the original box with all the new unused battery & accessories

& placed on a shelf in the back of the camera workshop until found & offered for sale on eBay in mint condition, just screen is not working ! :0

Ps: I got an apology & full refund & told to keep the camera, it is now repaired using parts from another DVX-100A bought just as a part supply :)
