White balance issue?i

I'm noticing that even though I always manually white balance whenever lighting changes, I'm still getting too much red/orange requiring me to correct in post. Is anyone else having this issue? Thoughts? Solutions?

I should mention:
  • I black balance everytime I turn the camera on.
  • Filming in a Spark with a slightly lower master ped -4...
Thanks.

This issues has been discussed on this board in the past. You can do a search for it.
To avoid white balance inconsistencies, the consensus is to just use the indoor/outdoor white balance presets at the front of your camera--5.6 and 3.2. Then anything you are not happy with can be corrected in post.

Hi ramkma,

I didn't have any luck in my search. Thanks for the response. To clarify, are you saying that the suggestion is to use either 5.6 or 3.2 and not manually WB at all? Really? Thanks again.

Yes. That is what I am saying. I suppose you could also tweak your spark setting to steer more towards blue.

You can tweek the white balance to cooler or warmer side by going to the scene file and look for A white balance or B white balance pick a or b and highlight it and to the right is cooler and to the left is warmer. That how i tweek it.
