FS7: White Balance in CineEI mode after fv 4.0?

Recently I've come across a strange WB green bias in a couple of my clips shot with Slog3/S-Gamut3..Cine - is it something connected with some new settings brought in by the v4.0 firmware? Are we now able to influence the WB in any way shooting in CineEI mode? TIA

Piotr

PS. Here is a screen grab from how it looked like in Browse before any CC; note how the WB slider is all the way to the left and how the original footage is tinted...

Also - as I only have the version 4 manual, and think the default ISO/EI mappings have changed for th L.M and H switch positions - which values are you guys using now to rate your camera properly in CineEI mode with Slog curves (a maybe under-rate it a bit in purpose)?

ok so have you opened it in an NLE to see if it is just a metadata issue? is it fine in premiere/fcp/avid etc?

I'd reset the camera and make a new master all file, and reinstall catalyst, which is a hateful piece of software anyway :)

Yeah, you're right abot Catalyst - which is a pity,a s it could be a very nice tool for initial clip assessment and ingest.

I'll repeat though: has fw v.4.0 introduce any changes in:

- the ability to set WB in CineEI mode
- the default Exposure Index values mapping to the H. M and L switch positions?

Thanks :)

Oops - sorry, didn't notice your last post; thanks. So it must be metadata handling by Browse - all looks normal in Resolve or Vegas Pro.

OK, so I finally did my RTFM (v.4.0) - and can see that the default EI values are now 3200, 1600 and 800 for the switch H,M and L positions respectively. Am I wrong that in the pre-v.4.0 manual they were different (specifically, I somehow remembered the 2000 EI as being a default)... If I'm wrong (again :)), please correct me; if this is really the case - please explain why it changed, and assuming no "a la Alister" overexposing is intended - which of the current 3 values are you guys using with Slog3 in CineEI mode? Thanks,

Piotr

PS. Regarding my original "issue" in my OP of this thread, I'm taking it back; in a moment of some brain blackout (or simply having one cup of coffee too little in the early morning), I all forgot that Catalyst Browse will keep the latest settings of all CC controls, and use them the next time it's launched - even when entirely different clips a e open. So the |green tint" has nothing to do with my camera - I simply must have played with the WB slider in my previous session... All is well in Resolve - no green tint whatsoever :)
