I just recorded about an hour of continuous footage, and when i play it back, there is a noticeable and regular cycling of the white balance from warm to cool and back again.
The camera was set to a White Balance of 3.2K, was plugged into a wall outlet, and recorded in LP mode. I have played the tape back on both the camera and a DV deck, on a production monitor, a TV, and the camera, and in all cases, the cycling is there. it is definitely on the tape.
After I recorded that tape, however, I recorded some other footage, and the problem seems to have disappeared -- the new footage is fine. Both tapes are Pansonic DVM63MQ's. The problem is that the footage with the cycling color is basically impossible to ever capture again.
Anyone have any ideas on what I can do, or even what the problem might be? it's driving me crazy. The Forum is my only hope...
