White background

Hi all,

I shot yesterday some models in white background, but I was not able to get full white in the background using a Canon 7D.

Anyways I have to use what I got yesterday and I believe there is a way to color correct the white background to get it whiter. The corners of the frame aren't really white.

Would you share your workflow in FCP or AE to get a really white background?

Cheers,

C

If your actors do not move to much you could make a mask around them and put a true white behind them.If it is just the corners, mask out those corners and color correct just those. Hope that helps. A frame grab would help.

Yeah, I don't know how to upload an image to this forum, do you want to share how I can do that?

Cheers,

So my ? is are you trying to get the whole screen as white as the center. If so then i would do a circular mask around the actors and replace that sectio with a white solid layer. (assuming you know AE)

These are the steps i needed to get good results. If the actors are moving alot you may have to animate the masks.
