Which zoom/focus/iris controller?

I take it there still isn't a controller for the HVX w/ push AF? Does it work well enough to switch to Auto and then back to Manual on a Varizoom?

For an HVX on a Fig Rig I'm thinking the Varizooms are the best option? Is the Stealth or Rocker zoom better? I'm going to be doing mostly run and gun type stuff.

B&H bundles the Manfrotto 521Pro with the Fig Rig. That has push AF correct? Any opinions on this vs. a Varizoom w/o push AF? It looks like the 521Pro doesn't have iris control, and it also looks like you have one rocker that you have to switch between zoom and focus so both can't be adjusted at the same time?

Saddler,

This is Tom from Varizoom. With the VariZoom controls you can switch to A/F with and A/I from manual control. The problem is when you switch back to manual from auto it will revert to the position you last left the focus dial and or iris dial in.

This does not happen with a Sony or Canon lanc control but then again the HVX allows fully addressable positioning which most users consider a real asset along with iris contol.

Focus, iris, zoom are all independent of each other and can be controlled simultaneously on the VariZoom.

I don't know about the Manfrotto and a push focus capability for the HVX. If it does it may respond the same as my control when taken back to manual control from auto.
