Which upgrade?

Alright so i got my dvx almost 6 months ago - i have a shotgun mic, light, a cannon bag

I film for fun and nothing really commercial or high paying jobs

option 1: Sell my dvx package and buy a used hmc150 for around 2.2k

option 2: keep my dvx package, and buy a tripod, dolly, fisheye, and filters?
 
Tripod is pretty important. HD footage is also tempting. If it were me, I would save and buy a great tripod that would outlast my next camera upgrade. Then I would save again, sell the DVX and buy something that shoots HD.

You will, of course, have to change your screen name...

The second. The DVX is still an amazing camera, wait till you have more money to move on. You can pimp it out in the meantime and get a tripod (you should get that anyway), glide cam, lenses, filters, mic, moniter, etc.

You could have just bumped your old thread lawl.
 
alright well looks like ill be keeping my dvx :)

when im older and start working and can get normal n steady income, then thats when ill be making the switch - and by then cams will be a little cheaper
