which side of Ground Glass faces the camera?

Hello.

I had to replace my GG due to scratch and an oily stain.

I forgot to note, however what was facing what.

I have it mounted smooth side toward the camera and it seems to produce a very grainy image, so I want to make sure that it’s mounted the wrong way before I rip out the silicone again.

P.S. One more thing. The original glass was about 0.7mm, whereas the thinnest I found to replace it was 1.35mm, about twice the thickness.
Could that be the issue?

im thinking that the thickness might be an issue. What are you using?

The thinnest I found was 1.35mm. The glass that was in there originally was 0.7mm-ish...

i thickness isn't the issue it's the weight caused by the thickness. if it's too heavy it won't vibrate properly, giving that you are using a vibrating adapter.
