Which shoulder pad?

Thanks, Chris. That's a very nice option. For $39 I should just buy that one to try it out. Have you dealt with them before? A reliable seller?
 
It really depends what you need. The thing that makes the redrock shoulder pad stand out is that it also has 3/8" and 1/4" screws built into it's dovetail. That's always been a big plus for me.

I own two of those pads and have used them, a lot. They work. And yes, I buy from Cinecity every now and then. Shipping is pretty quick considering where they are and I have had no issues with them or their stuff.

One thing to be aware of if you're using the camera LCD with or without a loupe - you need to get the camera up a little higher so you don't have to wrench your head over to meet your eye with the LCD. I'd recommend something like this to alter shoulder pad/camera height, unless you use an onboard LCD monitor:

(Or, just get one of the more expensive pads that raise the rig up higher from the shoulder.)

Thanks Loren. I like that feature on redrock shoulder pad. But $200 is not easy for me to spend on shoulder pad. I wish I could find someone selling a used one around $100, but that is just my wishful thinking.
 
Great to know they are reliable, Chris. Right now I have a cheap 7'' monitor, so I do not need it to raise the camera to my eve level. I will eventually get a redrock microEVF (if it ever comes out) or cineroid evf. Another wishful thinking.

Good to know, meauounji. If, for some reason, cinecity shoulder block doesn't work, I know I have another nice option.

I should have asked this before I ordered it, but when you said their shipping was pretty quick, is it like 3 days, 5 days, or a week?
