I'm not sure if this is the right section for this but I've got a little money to spend on some equipment and I can't decide which would be more useful. Either a wireless lav mic or a nice light kit like a couple Totas and an Omni light with umbrellas. Right now I use a shotugun mic for my audio and I have a DIY light kit with some clamp lights and a few stands. Either way I'm going to be upgrading; either my audio or my lighting.
I'll hopefully be doing more weddings so the wireless lav seems almost a must for that. But it seems like the lights could be more usefull...
OH and also, in regards to the wireless mic. I know the good Sennheisers are like 600 but somebody told me that for weddings they have a few Zoom H2N and plug a lav into it and record their audio externally and sync it in post. That way there's less chance for interference. Anybody else use this? Or could this be an alternative to buying the lav?
