Hey guys, I just picked up a shoot35 r2 follow focus from a fellow dvx user and I'm trying to figure out which rail support system to get.
I have no desire to do run and gun stuff with this so I'm not looking for anything big. I just want to use my 7D and the R2 follow focus. Also, all my gear uses manfrotto 394 quick release plates so that I can just pull the 7D off and drop it onto whatever. Ideally I'd like to have the rods attached to a 394 plate.... as well as attach the 7D to the rods via 394 so that I can take part or both and drop them on my monopod, tripod, slider etc.
Any thoughts on what would serve the purpose best? In all honesty I hate the idea of having to use rods at all but I hadn't seen a really solid follow focus that didnt require them. I thought the shoot35 r2 was the best bang for my buck.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
