Which Record Format should I use for P2 then tape?

Hi,


I am having my wedding shot on a hired HVX200. My friend is running the camera, he has some experience of PD170.

I have a DVX100, but no experience with the HVX.

I will have two 16G P2 cards, and a bunch of tapes.

I want to shoot in HD and progressive. I may want to do some high-frame rate slo-mo.

I'm in PAL land.

I will edit in FCS2.

What record format do you guys recommend so I can get the best out of both P2 cards and tapes?

You cannot record to tape and P2 on the HVX at the same time, maybe you didn't mean that. If you record 720p24pn, you will get 84 minutes on your two 16GB cards, more than enough for the ceremony, then you can dump the cards to a hard drive on the wyy to the reception, and start over. Oh, and you cannot record HD to tape at all, just SD miniDV.
