which P2 slot does HVX200 record to first???

Quick question: I have two P2 cards, a 32GB P2 card in Slot 1 and a 8GB P2 in slot 2.

For some reason it looks like the HVX200 always wants to record to the 8GB first.

If the 8GB is in Slot 1 is gets recorded to first. But in Slot 2, it also gets recorded to first.

I wanted my HVX200 to record first to the 32GB card. Anyway to do this besides keep just the 32 GB card in the camera.

I wanted both P2 cards in there and for ther HVX200 to always record to the bigger card first and have the 8GB card as aa remaining backup.

It records to whichever slot it last recorded to. You can change that behavior by assigning SLOT SEL to one of your user buttons; that way you can select which card it'll record the next shot to.

Barry, you've got to be kidding me!???
I have looked for this solution forever, I "think" even through this forum.

I've always "tricked" the camera by turning the camera off and on after pulling the card from the undesired slot.

It goes to show, I've spent too much time in the mountains. Thank goodness winter brings me home and I check in here more often.

Yikes. This makes so much sense it should be programmed by default to one of the user buttons. I've been write-protecting cards just to control this. Thanks Barry.
