I have a DVX100A and I'm a full time student who uses the bus a lot, so in addition to a good, sturdy tripod with a smooth fluid head, a tripod that's compact and lightweight is important to me. Given my rather limited budget, I've narrowed my selection down to the above three. Does anyone have any input as to which would be the best choice?

Thanks!

I own the Matthews m25 (actually 2) and it's an amazing tripod for the price range. It is VERY lightweight. Trust me. Just my 02 cents.

You may want to consider max height too.

It kinda sux when your tripod doesn't go high enough for the shot you want to get.

I've heard good things about the first one, but I haven't owned one myself.

That's the one I'm considering for a second cam.

Libec is the choice for me if it's these three.

but if you're paying this much you may want to consider looking at ebay for a used Manfrotto 501 head with legs.
it's much better then these three and you should be able to find it in the same price range if it's used. (I think)

i have the first one. very smoothe head...pretty sturdy (got it in december). Its 10lbs so it can get heavy if ur logging it around...but they do give u a very nice carry case for it. Workd well for my use (dvx100b)
