Which Nikkor lenses with an anamorphic adapter works well?

Hey I recently purchased Panasonic AG-LA7200G and am looking for lenses that works perfectly with that lens, as in sharpness wise.
I read somewhere on EOSHD.com that Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8 works well with it. My 18-55mm and 55-200mm VR lenses dont give me sharp images when attached with LA7200. I'm not so knowledgeable, I don't know why. If someone could enlighten me as to why some lenses work well while others don't, I'd very much appreciate it.

Also, I'd appreciate it if we could sum up a list of lenses that you have found works well with LA7200G.

Really? But, I've watched many vids in which they use LA7200G as the adapter and their footages turn out to be pretty sharp in images tho.
 
That adapter was built for SD.
Try using it at f8 or so.
Your 55-200 should work just fine with it. THat lens is very sharp.
Don´t expect amazing results.
 
The lens works pretty nicely at apertures of f5.6 or above. Sometimes you can get away with f 4.
Also it is better to use a focal length between 20mm and 60mm. Wider than that it vignettes, longer than 85mm it gets blurry.
Maybe the best focal length is in the 35mm-50mm range, unless you want to shoot really wide, where for instance the Canon EF-S 10-22mm works without vignetting in the longer end (I suppose it should work with Nikons of similar focal lengths too).
As you understand, the lens is better for shooting wide sceneries rather than shallow depth of field close ups.
The lens is nice to use if you are aware of its' limits.
 
Thanks, you guys for clearing things up! I just got 50mm prime lens, and the LA7200G seems working well now!! I'll explore more of its ability!
