Hello, first time I purchase an HD Video Monitor and this is what I am looking for:

7" Monitor
SDI connection
Accepts Anton Bauer Batteries (would be nice as I have a set)

Anyone could recommend a good monitor that falls into these specifications?

Thanks!

If you want to roll the dice and save several hundreds of dollars (33%) on a DP6 give this deal a go.
I bought one yesterday and I hope I don’t get one with dead pixels but with only a few scratches. SmallHD gives you 48 hours to make up your mind if you want to keep it. If not they wll pay for return shipping. Cant beat that so I pulled the trigger. This model doesn’t have the SDI inputs you wanted but can be upgraded later.

DP6 has a 5.6 viewing area.
Has a D-Tap cable for AB power $19.00.

I have the DP4 EVF and like it a lot. The DP6 is bigger and better for pulling focus.

TV Logic LVM-074W is an amazing monitor. About $2500 but awesome. Has an optional AB mount and SDI

The TV Logic LVM-074W just came on the market this year in the US. I would not expect a model update other than possible firmware updates, as are normal for TV Logic monitors. This monitor has a matte finish screen, great resolution, very lightweight, looping HD SDI input, HDMI to 1080 HD SDI transcode, direct access buttons, including 5 function buttons/knob, the usual large array of scopes, exposure aids, focus in red, markers in various aspect ratios, colors.

We've used the previous model, the LVM-071W since early '08 and this new model makes a very good monitor even better. Color accuracy is excellent, as good as their 17" models.

I've got the Ikan VX7e with HDMI/SDI inputs and really like it, though with a AB battery mounted, it's too heavy to be camera mounted - I prefer to use lightweight Sony batteries.

Truthfully, I don't notice a lot of difference between HDMI and SDI and wish I hadn't spent the extra $'s upgrading and gone with the VH7e for a lot less. http://www.ikancorp.com/productlisting.php?id=75

THe advantage of the SDI Scott is when you need to loop thru to other monitors and devices.

We go ... Camera>Samurai>Ikan VX7e>Panasonic>Client monitor.

BTW - we love our Ikan.
