If you could choose what lens mount the BlackMagic Cinema Camera came with...

I would choose M43 because with such a small sensor you need to have fast wide glass like the Voigtlander Nokton 25mm 0.95 and the SLR Magic 12mm 1.6

Although I have micro 4/3 lenses including the Voigtlander 25, I hope they stick with the EF mount (at least for now). After following the original Scarlet, and Red changing and changing, to then eventually never see the camera... I just want Blackmagic to get this camera to market ASAP, however they want to design it.

Yep. The 12mm SLR Magic lens should be ideal for this camera. Fast & wide. And if you want really wide, the 7-14mm Lumix lens should look phenomenal.

The other best part about a m4/3 lens mount is that almost anything else can adapt to it. Canon EF, Canon FD, Nikon F, PL, etc. It's essentially a universal lens mount, so there's really no downside to having it.

Thats what I was thinking. The EF/EOS guys could still get a lens adapter or even the Redrock lens mount, while others can use the Voigtlanders or olympus lenses that are designed for the smaller sensors.

M4/3" seems the obvious route to me, fast, wide, compact lenses designed for the smaller sensor. It'd make the move to the smaller format less of a headache.

I'm kinda hanging out for a Letus relay lens so that you can throw a 35mm adapter on one.

M4/3 mount. Then we get Nikon F & G, Canon, PL and many others with adapters.

I'd be happy if they offered M4/3 manual. Cine Film cameras don't have AF or AE.

Was wanting PL - Cinema Lenses on a Cinema Camera - but M4/3 would give even more options as there's plenty of decent M4/3 to PL adapters available. The more options the better.

Also happy to get M4/3 manual.

As mentioned above Film Cameras don't have AF or AE - or ND Filter Wheels built in for that matter.

I would...... Ask them to first develop an electronic m43 to ef lens first (aperture and is control). Once thats accomplished, do a m43 camera.

I wrote that in the long threat but might be more appropriate here. Now with a shorter flange distance what could be killer also is someone making an adapter (m43) with an anamorphic back lens. I think it would be great because it would solve the wide lens problem and provide an affordable anamorphic look to this camera. There could also be adapters with ND filter for example.

I chose nikon mount but that's because it's what I own but considering the awesome fast glass out there for m4/3 that makes most sense to me.
