Hey guys take a look at this lav mic setup.
You can see the transmitter in the female actress left rear pocket.

It's too indistinct to say.

But I can say what it's NOT.

It's not a Sennheiser G1 or G2 and it's not a Sennheiser 3000 or 5000 series.

I'm pretty sure it's not an Audio Ltd. either, as they use microdot connectors.

The antenna uses quite a large fat plug - so it *may* be a Micron.

Lectrosonic....26 block ;)

Is either the UM400 or MM400, from the bulge I would guess the UM.

Any reason you want to know? Sure is a pretty antenna. :)

(oh and that would be her RIGHT rear pocket ;) )

Cheers

Yea right reat pocket (I need some rest)

I was asking because you never know where life may take you it's always good to know. Right now I'm still using Senn...

Thanks Guys. By the way how good are those mics, I would also imagine the head of the lav to be tiny.

No clue as to what lav they are using. Could be anything. If it were me I would have probable tried to get a B6 behind her third button.

Cheers

...the audio guys....the mixers...........the lost boys !!!! Then.... SUDDENLY....a picture of beauty....a beating heart...a catch of breath..............a................lectro 400 in the rear, her right, our left pocket.........aaaa exhale.

9/10 its a Sanken COS-11 - the little rubber bit on the cable is the way sankens have their serial number attached to them.

Have a look at the polar neck type bit of the shirt (pretty high up) - is that a Hush Lav visible? Something is just slightly bulging there... more evidence for a cos11.

Welcome to sound detectives... :)

ha ha, not to worry, im headed to the real world (NY) next week and my day job may conflict with my moonlighting as a photographic forensic analyst for the sound community. ;)

Productive, not optional. Restful - not optional either. ;) Yeah, my wallet is terrified. Very very afraid.

Thanks mate...

I'll bet the mic is either B6 or EMW from Coutryman as those are labeled by sensitivity - W4, gray band.

Very impressive. I loaded into to Photoshop to check out your investigative work. At first glance that label also looks a lot like a Countrymen s/n but upon closer inspection u do see a bit of reflection that implies the plastic of the Sanken.

I bow to the master.

I don't see the mic bulge though.

Cheers
