The FS7 menu system is vast and deep, so having the most used items at one's fingertip in the User Menu is so important; during the passing first month of possessing the camera I experimented with modifying it so it only has the really important functions and isn't overloaded (otherwise it tends to resemble the complicated structure of the full menu which denies its very purpose). Unfortunately so far, whenever I did limit my User Menu to what I thought would be enough, I always ended up missing some options... I realize it is a personal matter, but could you guys share what the most experienced FS7 users find the "must-to-haves" User Menu items to make it minimalistic yet functional in 99% of your shooting situation, when using the main menu would mean disruption and frustration? With its tiny buttons, the main Menu is so hard to use without putting the camera on the tripod
And BTW - while I do understand some other switches and buttons on the FS7 body are tiny (space!) and recessed (protection from inadvertently pushing them while shooting) - the menu button as well as its rolling control could really be made much bigger and more accessible. After all, nothing disastrous can happen by unwillingly turning menu on while shooting - it's not like say WB, Gain or similar controls that really could spoil your shoot when pressed inadvertently! Thanks,
Piotr
