Which is really better?

you can still throw an adapter on the af100 if you want full frame and even more shallow DOF... and because of the large image sensor you get better low light than the old school adapter setups... 4/3 relay? just thought I throw that out there.

Is this correct? AF 100 doesn't have a dedicated internal
OIS ?? I though that one of it's major advantages will be
Using vintage lenses with OIS.. but maybe it was wishful
Thinking...

No, the AF100 and the GH1/GH2 and all those don't have any sort of in-body OIS. They rely on the lenses to provide OIS.

The Olympus m43 cameras have OIS in their bodies, so they don't have or need OIS in their lenses.

Shame..
It's a real disadvantage for af100.
As compared to what? As compared to the GH2, which doesn't have it? Or as compared to the Canon DSLRs, which also don't have it? Or, compared to the Sony interchangeable-lens large-sensor cameras, which don't have it. Or, compared to the Reds, which don't have it. Or are we comparing to the Canon large sensor video camera, which doesn't exist?

How is it a disadvantage?

I can understand if you had said "Hmmm, that's disappointing, it would have been neat if it did." But to phrase it as "a real disadvantage" -- that makes no sense. If none of its competition has it, how can it be a disadvantage for the AF100 to not have it either?

sorry, i indeed meant disappointing-
for a serious video camera like this that have different built quality than DSLR and by using OIS could be a great leap forward.

It would be, I agree, and it would have been a very welcome feature if they could do it. That was definitely on the wish list that several of us submitted to them. Would have been nice, but I don't think it's possible to do given the space constraints of the m43 format and the presence of the ND filter wheel. If you got rid of the ND filter wheel then it might have been possible (like on the Olympus stills bodies) but the filter wheel is far more important (to me, at least!) than in-body OIS so I would not have wanted to make that trade.

We have a Red MX and still use our EX1 often in our non-fiction work. It is light, has a great zoom lens, is fast and easy - it also gives awesome deep DOF results in full 1080p, sharper than an Af100.

It all depends on what you are shooting, when and how.
