Which is better?

Hey guys,

Quick, easy question. Which would be better for me to use in a narrative film? The DVX100B's in camera mic, or my ATR-55 set on telephoto up on a boom pole? I know neither option is great 'cause the ATR-55 is kinda crappy, but I'm just wondering which of these two choices would be best...mainly concerned with picking up as little white noise as possible under dialogue.

Anything close to your subject is going to be better than the onboard microphone.

A $50 mic that's 2 feet from your talent will sound better than a $1000 mic that's across the room.
