Which Focal length lens would be good to be used with a Jib?

I have some jib shots I want to do for a music video and wanted to know the opinion of the forums on this. Should I go for an tokina 11-16mm or something more traditional like a sigma 30mm? It will be an artist performing with about 10 people behind them. Any advice is greatly appreciated
