I am looking to get a new DOF how is the Jag35xl series or the enciniema? I have a hvx200

Try the SGBlade. 1 of the best around for reasonable price!
Well build with spinning groundglass.

The main adapter companies to look at would be:

Cinevate
Letus
Redrock
SG (Shoot35)

Of course, if you are on a budget, or are more interested in a DIY kinda solution, there are other more affordable options and such, but you get what you pay for in general. The above are the main 4 players over the last several years.

Between the SG (Shoot35) & Letus which one do you think is better?

I couldn't say. I've not used either. I've only ever used a homemade "tester" one, a brevis rev2 (about 3 generations older than their current model), and a Letus Flip Enhanced (a couple generations older than their current line as well).

At this point, it pretty much just comes down to personal need/desire. Image quality between all of the above gets to be pretty subjective these days as they all have new models out. Some are spinners, others are vibrating. Is weight a concern? Are you looking for maximum light efficiency or a more pleasing diffusion of the image... do you want a closed unit that may be more immune to dust issues, etc, or do you want a unit that is more open/modular that allows you to use a range of diffusion screens for different applications... but, you will have to be more willing to open the unit up on a more regular basis and keep its insides clean, etc. Do you want a unit that has a flip module either as a "modular" option or built-in to the unit? or do you not need a flip module b/c of your monitoring solution, or camera capabilities, etc.?
and on and on and on.

You could really research for days and weeks and months on the different adapters, and in the past many did :)

Personally, I would recommend focusing on what you want or need in your adapter, like some of the things mentioned above. Learn about the differences between them, if you don't know already (there are more minor differences and there are major, fundamental differences). I would focus on how these adapters will or won't meet your functional needs first and foremost, b/c the image quality differences.... everyone has their opinion. They are all capable and different folks will like different ones.

OR.... You can just close your eyes and pick one and go for it :) I wouldn't really recommend that, but assuming you could properly set it up and all that, I'm sure you would probably be pleased with the image quality coming out of any one of those companies current models if you don't have extensive experience comparing and contrasting all of them and combing over tests, etc, etc.

if you're going to get a blade, get the one with the "more filmic" image. It really looks amazing.

I have had almost every adapter made. The letus ultimate and the sgblade are the some of the best.

I have the SGblade(shoot35) with the 3 rotorrazors and I can tell you it rocks.
Everybody that borrowed it from me, is impressed. Mainly I use it on a EX3 or EX1 and sometimes with a Canon HVX40. Compaired to the Letus, I would say it is better build, but
that just m.o.. I have a friend with the Cinevate using it on a Canon A1; he loves it, but I think the SGB is better.
The best thing to do if it is possible, is to go to a rental house and try them out with your gear.

Thanks man yeah i wouldnt really want to take it apart like that. i am really leaning more toward the SGblade all the way.

Which one you like best out of the # rotorrazors? I am going for as close to a filmatic look as possible I am coming from a Hollywood Dof lol

The RR2 renders the bokeh better, while RR1 lets in more light but the bokeh looks a little guassian blurry IMO.

Is that the $300 one? I was stuck on this same topic a few months ago, Letus or SGBlade. It came down to the spinning vs vibrating gg. I thought the Letus extreme produced the best looking footage for my uses but the SGBlade was right there with it and it just seemed to be a step up. Kinda a mid range between the letus extreme and the Ultimate.

I purchased the Blade in December and have been nothing but happy with it. And it looks very good on the camera. :) Go with the Blade and rr2 if youre going to buy new. You won't be disappointed. And the price is good. If you want a used adapter get a letus.

Yeah Kenny, good to hear. How often do you switch the rotorrazors? and which one do you find yourself using more often. I'm guessing the rr2 since it's in the middle. If you ever get the time, I'm sure we'd all like to see a comparison between the 3.

Yes the hollywood dof is the 300 dollar one. It was good as a starter dof but now i need the big boy dof. I am gonna sell the hollywood dof to a friend of mine as it is gonna be his first dof.
