First of all I like to say thank you to everyone sharing their knowledge in this forum!!
I have my D90 now 1 week and run through all the limits and highlights with the help of all of you!

One thing I like to ask is:

How do you set up your PC color, contrast, brightness etc.?

Should it match the D90-LCD or should it match a reference DVD on your Flat TV or do you connect a control monitor to your PC...?

Which is the master player when you set it up? Windows Media Player, Quick Time, Nikkon ViewNX, After Effects. Every Player looks different concerning color, contrast...

it's not really possible, you need a video monitor for reference. if that's not an option i'd use a normal calibration for stills, that should let you see the full gamut and how colors interact, then rely on scopes for levels.

that's why you have reference charts and bars. you need to set everything up for your specific environment. i use magic bullet looks on a mac and have to change the diplay gamma every time, very annoying.
