Pelican 1610--and I love it. I walked all over Chicago with it (wheels) and never a problem. It's deep enough to drop the HVX in by the handle, and my P2 Store shoots down straight into it. I can get everything in there.
Since everybody seems to be using Pelican cases, I took a look at some of them. Those are some nice cases. Watertight up to 30' too, what else do you need. Might be time to sell some stuff on ebay.
I like the 1550 with the soft case insert. If you want to travel light you can just pull your whole rig out of the heavy case and there's a nice padded one inside.
I also have a 1600 with the soft case but the 1550 is just the right size.
cheers,
Sam
Here is my 1510 layout, camera orientated so its right way up when being carried by handle or pulled on trolley. I don't like the wheels on the 1510. They are too small and hard. I skate so I've been thinking of sticking some skate wheel on it but that would mean having to drill the bolts as they are fixed in place....
I keep all my other gear in a second smaller hard case.
I'm thankful you printed my picture and used it as a guide. Nice to know someone didn't think I was lying. That thread got crazy so I just checked out because people insisted I that couldn't get what I got into the 1510. That's what I get I guess for posting on April 1st. But even after added photos, some people still couldn't believe me.
I've loved the 1510 and how much I was able to get in it considering the size.
For those lucky enough to have the BT-LH1700W monitor, what case do you have it in for location shoots... I'm looking to get a case with mine but the Panasonic one is almost $250! I know there must be a cheaper and better Pelican case alternative (plus it'lll look cooler when I show up with matching Pelican cases for all my stuff, heh heh).
On top, the im2700 cases in yellow. At the back with the jerrys are the cavernous im2950 cases with wheels and retractable handles. Inside are two tiers of im2500 and im2100 cases with camera and audio kit.
