So I decided to order a couple Blackmagic Video Assists for my A7S and A5100. The A5100 needed something as I use it for longer takes than 10 minutes at a time (weddings, interviews) and the A7S I figured could use longer takes during certain events, and the price seemed pretty darn ok.
Now Atoms dropped the price to $399 CDN vs $569 CDN for the Blackmagic. The Atoms includes a battery, the Blackmagic doesn't, media is pretty comparable for cost it seems.
Having never seen the screen, and having never used an external monitor, does anybody have any ideas on what the quality of the screen will be, and do you think I would like 5" screens after being pretty satisfied with my sony screens, and in particular the A7S viewfinder?
And any opinion on which way you would lean?
Thanks!
