Where's the "Show Your Work" Category?

[Giganova]

Hi there --

This is a great community and online forum, but why is there no "Show your Work" Category? Isn't that THE most important category for a filmmaking community?

Cheers!

There are, all over the place. Look a little more closely.

Hi David --

I saw that they are all over the place, and I think that's very bad. An own category would make much more sense.

User films is a good place to start.

Actually, the way these are laid out makes sense. Films and film clips are posted by camera used. That way, if you want specific footage from a DVX100/a/b, you can go to the DVX100 forum and see plenty of samples. Same with the Sony EX1/EX3, or the HVX200.

Note that the User Films forum is not actually for posting films and footage, but for production diaries and accounts of BTS experiences/challenges/successes. Even the sticky in User Films asks that footage be posted in the camera-specific forums.
