Where's the PX270 little brother?

Panasonic seems to have broken it's pair releasing trend of the last several years:
HPX170 and HMC150
HPX250 and AC130/160

PX270 and ______

The PX270 came out, but with no lower end counterpart sharing parts. Plus, it's an AJ series rather than AG. Hmmmm....

The Sony PXW-X180 is looking to be packing a little harder punch and for a little less money, too.
Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that Panasonic is limping along. It seems either the mother ship has decided to scale back the pro camera division or they just really do not have the money to keep producing cameras at their previous pace. Interesting to see the swap in roles from the past where Sony is actually giving more features at a lower price. My guess is Panasonic is working feverishly to catch the PX-270 up as much as they can to the new Sony model(s). It was a big move for Panasonic to put the full color matrix in and have nice servo motors in this camera, but they did not go far enough once you see the Sony features. These two companies have been battling for a long time and I know it is burning up the Panasonic folks to be bested right out of the gate.

I prefer the look of Panasonic cameras over Sony, so I am still happy with the PX-270 and it will only improve with the competition.

I prefer the panasonic look as well. And since I already use mostly panasonics it's helpful to stay with them.
I wonder just how much updating/catching up Panasonic can do since the 270 camera is already released. They can't roll out a 270a version right after the 270 came out so firmware and codecs are all we can hope for.

Sony offers a lot of different cameras.

The AC90a is a good camera but it didn't exactly replace anything. It 'sort of' fit between the HMC40 and HMC150, but more of a category all it's own.
I suppose they could release an AC160a replacement based off the body of the 270 for a lower cost option, but if they give it anything the 270 doesn't have- such as 120p- then the 270 folks would be unhappy.

I don't know much about what is possible but 720p120 is the same data rate as 1080p60. The 160 series had 1080p60 added via a firmware update after it was released so I am hoping...
