Where's the best price for the HVX200?

Forgot to thankyou Britba. Your post was the one that finally after all the reading and seacrhing, kicked me to call.

Thanks for the tip on a great deal.... I just put my order in! This company has been around since the 60's and is a commercial outfit only, so I feel good about giving them my hard earned cash.

Barbara is the sales contact, and apparently they had an initial order of 25 which will be delivered in March. I was 24 on the list... There is one more left for the March delivery. FYI... Panasonic is shipping directly from Japan to outlets.

I thought Jan said that all units for the next several months will be shipped from Osaka to the U.S. where they will be checked for quality and then shipped out to dealers. Right now the 100B is being shipped direct from Japan, however, the HVX is still in limited production.

Where did you get this information from Britba? I would hope all Panny authorized dealers woudl go through the standard QC before getting any but I don't know how this works.

This may well be correct that they are going through another QC check here before going to the dealer. When I touch base with the dealer again, I will ask about this.
