Where's the best place to purchase an F35?

Obviously they're not sitting out in bulk in some warehouse... hah, but if I were to consider buying one, is eBay the best bet?

It'd be nice to get one from somewhere it's been inspected and been looked after / guaranteed to run smoothly. Is there a reseller that will provide some sort of minimal warranty or a way to fix potential issues?

Where did most of you get yours? From Rental places that were letting them go back a couple years ago?
 
In truth, the best place to buy an F35 is off a dusty shelf no one's looking at, from someone who has no idea what it is or does. That's essentially what I did, but I had to dig all over the internet to find a camera no one else was looking at, that I could haggle a ridiculously low price for. Any marketplace that others are aware of is subject to a bidding process from others on this forum. I certainly remember that when I was shopping for my F35 I was incredibly reluctant to let anyone else know about the sites I found.

So, I wouldn't count on everyone giving away their secrets, particularly anyone who's still shopping for more F35 stuff.

Usually second hand sales in this market are *AS-IS* with only a DOA (dead on arrival) return policy. As for warranty or means to fix repair, a rental house like Alan Gordon or Otto Nemez is likely your best bet, should they still have any.

Other ways to find these cameras:
- Brokers (downside, the middleman takes a fee, sometimes the prices asked are unrealistic)
- Industry Auctions (there are specific auction houses that auction off rental house gear fairly regularly)
- Leasing Companies (not sure how realistic this option is - but it is how I found mine - people lease cameras, fall behind on the lease, camera gets repossessed, then the lease company sells it off)
- Rental Houses (you can call them up directly, and try to negotiate. Even if the camera is on ebay, offer to send them a bank check directly for less, they might take it)
 
That 8100 kit on ebay is a deal. User Ac9 on ebay is the biggest seller right now but he breaks up the packages. Ive scouted rental houses in la, lots still sitting on shelfs.
