Where would you want to honeymoon?

Well Alaska is a dream but there is really just so much to see. It seems more like an anniversary type trip, but that is, without going all 'Into the Wild' the ultimate fantasy of what I would like to do.

I like hearing people say that Sedona and the Grand Canyon could be a good idea. I just want something romantic, fun, and yet memorable.

At this point, it is funny, I just want something that: 1) she will approve 2) affordable 3) special.

It reminds me of the old good, fast, cheap, pick two.
 
Yeah, go to Mexico... but, as you said, stay away from the "touristy" places.

Or you could always go to the Keys (Key Largo, Key West). I used to live in Miami and the keys are a nice getaway...
 
I dunno... I think all these places will be wicked hot in the summer. Head for the mountains!

Seriously, think Northern cities... New York, Boston, Chicago, Seattle... they're beautiful and lush in the summer, with lots of things to do. Shakespeare in the park? Cnoeing on the Charles?

Mind you, if it wasn't in July, I'd recommend Aruba! That's where we went...

I grew up in NY and we go there at least every other month throughout the year, so that just isn't special for a honeymoon.

I am meeting with a travel agent today so we'll see what she throws out there.
