Where to get ambient sound/music?

[badhairdude]

Was wondering where I could get some free music or ambient sounds? Paying is a last resort haha.

Was looking for sounds that evoke a building up of suspense or any emotion.

Thanks

Well, the best way to get free ambient sounds is to record them yourself.

Free music is the question of the century around here... and there are few free music resources that will turn out anything decent. You'll have to buy to get anything reliable. But there are some royalty-free libraries out there that don't cost as much... look at Digital Juice or Sound Ideas.
