Where to find D-Tap cable to power Micro Litepanel?

Can anybody point me in the right direction where to find a D-Tap cable that will connect from a Dynacore DS-U65 Battery (attached to an EX1R) to power my Micro Litepanel.

Thanks in advance!

It might help to know what type of input the micro lite uses for power. Mini XLR 4 pin? Single pole 3.5mm? Other?

I'm assuming that you are talking about the same D tap found on Anton Bauer battery mounts? If so, call Anton Bauer direct and see if they have any B stock pig tails. They can be wired to any type of 12 volt light.

The Lightpanel Micro excepts a 5-12V power input via a 3.5mm plug. I have since been advised against plugging a 14.6V battery into my 12V Lightpanel Micro, as it will likely fry it. Unless I upgrade my light to something like a Micro Pro, I don't think it is going to be possible to power it using these batteries.

All batteries are higher voltage when fully charged than their listed ratings. Sony EX1, EX3, F3 batteries are 15.5v when fully charged. The manufacturers know that. The Sony cameras, the TVLogic monitors, the Ki Pro Mini are all rated 12-13volts max and use the output of these batteries just fine.

I think you need to research more. Rated voltage is definitely not what any of these devices handle. I can't you for sure because I don't know your light, but if its rated for 12 volts it likely will work.

The thing is when the batteries are dying they may only output 7 volts. (I had the very same question with the TVLogic 5.6" monitor and when I discussed it with their tech guy he said it will handle up to 17volts even though rated 7-12 volts.)

Thanks for that info. I will try and contact Lightpanels to see if their tech guys will support the concept of inputting more than 12 volts into their micro unit.
