Hi.

its been hard to find the CANON 5D EOS MARK II in stock, am i right? i can't buy it with the street price 2.700, if you please tell me where did you buy yours.

im in florida right now, so if you know some place around boca, that's better

thanks

I though the price was around 3K. I heard something of the price going higher a few days before launch...

But maybe I'm wrong. BH still has 2700 on their site. I got a D90 last week, and it was hard to find it in NY. Not even BH had it. Luckly a friend of mine works there and found one for me at another store.

Didn't tell me where though...

Adorama still hasn't got it... I went into some cool stores in Downtown Miami (near the contemporary art museum), with tons of photo equipment and some nice selection of old lenses. Maybe you could try a walk over there...

I mean, wait a minute... are you in Miami? :D

but im going to miami in early march cause my short film was selected for the Miami International film festival. so im pretending to buy a Canon when im over there.

thanks

You might try JR. B&H didn't have the D90 a few weeks ago when I was purchasing. Checked JR and ordered. Had it the next day. They also had the 18-200 vr lens in stock.

im curious...how would one pretend to buy a canon?

LOL! He intends to buy one. That's what he meant. :)

 In portuguese, 'pretender' does mean 'to intend'. Not in order to make believe with the intent to deceive, as it is in english ('to pretend'). BTW, Daniel, where do you come from? Portugal? Brasil? (correct spelling, 'Brazil' is only the english version's translation). Or from any other one of more half-dozen countries where the portuguese is the official language?

[Aragão doesn't lie, it is a portuguese name! :love4:]

EDIT -- Never mind. I've just read it now. Brasileiro -- a brazilian's portuguese name. :) Boa Sorte!

It's brazil. This *is* english. Eu falo um poco portuguese (although i can't spell ****) so i "intended" everything fine. :-) i wish i was in recife, i'd be on the bus to maracaipe. Bem (bom?). Chau (ciao?). Whatever. I think i need another cafezinho with both sugar and sweetener. :-)

Mattias,

Are you in Sweden, right? Could you help me with a reliable Canon 5D Mark II supplier for shipping to Italy, Portugal or France? (this camera does seems sold out, not available or pricey in any one of those above-mentioned territories) I've check it out in Sweden and it seems available. The only problem is that they ship to Sweden or Norway, not abroad.

Obrigado,
Emanuel :-)

I'll take a look but a friend of mine is still waiting for his, there might still be a waiting list...
:dankk2:

See this seller:

The same store which only ships to Sweden and Norway. I don't speak swedish but the guy on the phone (in english) said there's stock. I have some friends in Norway. It could be shipped to. The problem is Norway is not EU, so the duties must be charged. As well, the VAT cannot be deducted @ home.

Wow, more Portuguese speakers than I thought... :D

Better watch the portuguese around mattsand. He will understand it just the same and flush your points down the toilet with his computer science reasoning... Just the same. :P

:D

I was lucky and bought mine at Best Buy $2699.00. I sure it was the last one they had because it went to out of stock on the web page. Keep checking with them. There were others on this site that also received from them.

three phrases in portuguese and we need our own forum? tänk om jag skulle skriva en mening på svenska, what would happen then?
