I bought one from B and H last week with 1.1. It was in the 20mm f/1.7 kit.

can anyone else confirm B&H is still shipping the older units? i'm about to make the plunge as well

I got one last week that was fine, though there was a post on here somewhere that someone just got one that had the new firmware on it.

^ pisssss, did you buy in-person from the NYC superstore? or online?

Online. Ordered it on Monday July 26. I asked for the oldest stock they had but the sales guy said they had no way of telling the shipping guys that.

Sure they can, they know exactly when each unit has arrived in stock. Ask [politely] that this is your condition for the sale.
