Where to buy a dvx100b...

Hello everyone,

I'm ready for a new camera, and I think the dvx100b is the one for me. A few months back I stumbled across this site while searching for a new camera, and the stuff I've seen you guys accomplish with this camera is incredible. This camera is amazing, and it's exactly what I need. I worked all this summer and the previous one, and finally saved up enough money to get a dvx100b. I was wondering though, which authorized dealer has the best deal and actually has it ready to ship within a reasonable amount of time?

Thanks.

Why not eBay? Can get extras and savings off internet retailers. Also a camera with less than 100 hours on its heads is basically new anyway.

But is buying from an eBay seller safe? If anyone here has bought a dvx from an eBay seller, would you mind telling me how it went?

I bought a DVX100 2 years ago on eBay (120 hours on heads) and later sold it to a film school. I bought a DVX100B on eBay a few months ago (98 hrs) and it was in incredible condition. I have used the crap out of it and it is still flawless.

Buy from someone who has 100% positive rating and includes everything the DVX should come with.

This one on eBay now is a good example

It has a low amount of hours, includes what the retail version comes with, plus the software Panasonic offers, and also has some extras (dvx battery, tapes, barry's book, etc). I have seen ones which are missing the remote, which can be hard to find. It's annoying to have to replace missing items.

I got my DVX-100B from Newegg today. Ordered on Friday (Warehouse I gathered is in California) received item today. Low price, reasonable shipping. Confirmed Authorized Dealer too. I love what I see and looking forward to a long creative relationship with my DVX100B.

I would be careful with the Ebay crowd/stores that offer you low prices only to try to flush accessories and ridiculous prices down your throat. That's their approach, they lure you in with low prices and aggressively market everything marketable with the unit. Reject or turn down their accessories and suddenly your order can take up to a year to process. 'trust you get the gist.

Newegg or any of the authorized dealers will do. Keep and preserve your rest of mind and conserve your energy for creative activities with the DVX100B cam.

I ordered a DVX from NewEgg a year ago and it came gray market (no Barry book or software). Was a big hassle to return too. The DVX is one of those odd items where I felt less safe buying "new" than used. There are just so many gray market DVXs and Brooklyn scam sites out there.

I got my DVx100B from newegg a couple years ago. Not grey market. Got my Barry Book and Magic Bullet. I'm sorry to hear someone got a grey market cam from there.
