Where is the noise?

The test is fine but my comment would be.

What you have done is used the ISO instead of the iris for exposure in this scene

Another, and in my opinion, more valid test if you are looking for noise or lack of noise ...is to stop the camera down relatively as you increase the ISO.

The "exposure" is the "EXPOSURE". It is the photographic determination of Shadow to Highlight in the image ( Black to White thru Mids)

Allowing the ISO to shift the exposure in the comparative test instead of the iris, is effectively shifting the curvers, gammas etc and eventually "pumping in noise".

This scene is no real concern for noise since there are so few objects in shadow areas. At any ISO up to 1600 it will look okay when shadows are absent. You actually get a better image noisewise by increasing ISO to fill in shadows.

Not entirely sure about that statement but thinking more about it.

I thought 1250 ISO @ f2 was probably the best exposure for this scene.

What did others think?
