Where is the best place to send Nikon primes for cinema conversion?

Exactly. All my Zeiss C/Y lenses hold iris in-between clicks.
If I need something more than what I have in-house, I rent.
Maybe it's just the miser in me, but it seems that many are tossing money away for a feature that they will likely never use.

All the Best!

Having partial-stops, a 360 degree focus gear that is solid, and a standard 80mm front for quick changes with the mattebox is hardly what I call money wasted.

Matt, all my Zeiss C/Y lenses have 360 degree focus gears, hard fronts, and hold partial stops between clicks. Shooting professionally for over 30 years has given me a fair idea about gear and technique. But more so has given me the sense to not spend money unnecessary.
I was questioning the current fad of having a still lens de-clicked when it might be an unnecessary expense depending on the lens, and the desired result. For a shooter on a limited budget with the right set of lenses, it might make more sense to have Stuart at Focus Optics install focus gears, then purchase inexpensive 77mm step-rings off eBay for uniform hard fronts, and bypass the expense of de-clicking the iris and dampening an area that was never mention to be packed with grease.
Not trying to start a war, just expressing my thoughts.

All the Best!

Dave
