Where is the best HVX200 deal right now?

Anyone have any leads on a good deal?

So far I've found that Specialized Communications has a good deal. $5400 get you the camera and an extra 6000mah battery, free shipping, and a free professional cleaning when you need it. Plus a discount on full pre-payments- good for end of the year tax writeoffs. Plus 10% off their 100-240GB P2 Cineporter drive when it comes out. So far it's the best reason I've seen so far to justify the P2 format.

Yes, Spec-Comm looks like the best deal - but I don't know how ling the pre order lines are...
and actually all of the other "deals" I thought I was seeing seem to have evaporated

...more will be revealed

yeah they may have the best deal price wise but since they keep you in the dark you might have to wait until summer to get you camera.

Well, others have a better advertised price, no doubt, however I don't require a deposit; no deposit, no headache, cancel your order anytime.

I will match prices on Pre-Orders down to $5299 as long as I can call the Authorized Dealer that day and have them overnight me a camera. I just need the HVX to be paid by check at that point, instead of credit card, otherwise EVS loses money on the deal due to the credit card fee.

Otherwise, the camera is DVXuser $5599 cash or credit.

If you send a check (only when we have the camera in the warehouse, and not as a prepayment), I will give 3% off (not just 2%), and ship the HVX and 1 4GB card for $5995 + $65 shipping via Fedex 3-day with insurance, not UPS ground with no insurance.

I'm not going to advertise free shipping when it's UPS with no insurance. Sure it attracts attention, and would only cost me $25 then, but what if something happens? You're out a $6000 camera with no compensation from UPS. UPS are notorious for damaging contents of boxes, and their liability limit is $100. Better safe than sorry... We use Fedex and add insurance.

I also enroll you in the HVX club, where you get a picture of you and your HVX with your personal info posted on EVSonline, if you'd like, for advertising your services. You get 50% off P2 card rentals for 6 months (since a 4GB card rents for $60/day, that means you get half off that, and a 3 day week, which means the total for the week is $90).

:)

Oh and I already posted this elsewhere, so ,sorry to copy it over, but here it is again, because I feel it is important to be said in this thread as well.

We have 182 people in line, but as of yesterday, I still haven't heard from 50 people, so I would say that brings our queue down to 132. Everyone else moves up. Anyone on the list can write to me anytime for their number. We are wide open, the only thing we protect is our customers' personal info. But our company info is open. No deposit, no worries. We had 125 cameras on order with Panny, and we just bumped it up to 175, just to be safe. Panny is happy with us ordering 175 cameras. :)

Then where is the best deal?
Don't know if it's the best, but it's been the most reliable since I was a little kid.

I've got a feeling he won't be coming through for me this year.

Holy shmoe, Digi, that is great! Did you make that?
Thanks, I just photoshopped it into a Norman Rockwell Painting, that's all.
I did the same thing for the Nikon D200.

Ok, so just tell me how I can get it for $5,299?
You say you will match Specialized, and they advertise that price, yet it seems like your out is by saying....."They don't have them in stock, so it reverts back to $5,599". Sounds like you really won't do the $5,299 price, and if you will, then put me on that $5,299 list. I have signed up with you from the beginning. I just want someone who will live up to what they say, without any loopholes.
I think it would have been beter to just have a list with a cut off date.
Early adapters actually get the worst cameras (no revisions done) so they should get the best deals.

Why not give everyone on your list who signs up by friday the $5,299 price and after the $5,999 price.

Because they make no money on the first 200 cameras, and lose orders on all the others thereafter.

How about $5,300, and $5,998, respectively?
