Where is a good place to buy a pelican case to Store a DVX and its accessories (battery charger, cables, extra batteryies, filters)? Which model of the pelican case Should I be looking for? Is there something better than a pelican case for my camera?

I bought my Pelican 1510 case from EVS (ask for Rush and your DVXuser discount). I like the 1510 because it has wheels and is legal carry-on size for flying. I bought it with the padded dividers only because I can't stand those little foam cubes, plus I like to reconfigure as necessary. I've FEDEXed my camera in the 1510 and the protection is absolute. There's a lot of other soft cases that are excellent, but don't provide quite the same weatherproof hardshell protection. Check out Kata and Portabrace, and also Lowe-Pro for their camera backpacks.

Those are some awesome lookin cases..i like the Pelican Warrenty..

Thanks Jarred! Yes, on the Pelicans, I will beat most other dealers for DVXusers.

Yeah that Pelican warranty is just too cool. And we figured out a while back that gently heat-gunning the foam inside seals up the foam so it doesn't flake. :)

Wow! I didn't think anyone could beat Pelicancasesonline.com. You are simply amazing Rush.

Not protected against bear and shark attack, or children under five. I love that warranty.

i got my 1300 for my ext. hdd from pelicancasesonline.com for $40, $5 cheaper than evs. dunno what kind of discount you could get, tho.

pretty much.. as you can see the pelican is a discounted DVXuser price, the price is higher on the EVS website. You just gotta call or email rush to find out what it is, cause it varies on products.

Can you fit EVERYTHING that comes with your camera in the 1550? Camera, Batteries and charger, tapes, remote, filters? or do you need the 1600?

Yes you can fit everything if you're careful about parting the foam. You can also get the 1554 with padded dividers, which gives you more space but a little less protection. But if you are a single owner, you don't have to worry about other people banging your camera around.

You will need the 1600 when you want to get a mattebox and on-camera light on there as well.
