I bought a used DVX 100 (not A or B). In the scene settings i don,t see the 24 P mode. only 25 P and "cine ". It,s possible to record 24 P and 24 P advanced with the first DVX 100? How?
Thanks.

Whats the exact model number under the viewfinder of the camera? 25p is pal based, where did you get the camera from?

Doesn't 25p PAL look better though? And isn't it easier to convert 25p PAL to 24p NTSC? (Don't quote me on that, I could have sworn I read that somewhere though...)

If you are seeing 25P that means you have a PAL camera and means either. . .

A. You live in a PAL country
B. Someone stiffed you hard.

If you have a PAL camera and live in PAL land then 24P is really a moot point for you. 25P visually looks like 24P but has slightly more resolution because of the PAL specs. 25P does not look better than 24P nor the other way around, the cadence in all reality is exactly the same, although there are always people out there that will say that it looks different to them.

I have a DVX 100 E, I live in Spain, Europe. Its,s different the look of 25 p than 24 p? The two last scene settings in my DVX 100 E (25 p and cine ) it,s the same of 24 p and 24 p advance? It,s no possible to record 24 p in my camera?

it,s my first experiencie witth DVX, at now i,m happy with the results, but i want to obtain the 100% of it.

Thanks

You do have a PAL camera and that is the format they use over there. So there is no need to have a NTSC 24p camera. Not unless you want to show work over here in the states on film, but you can do that in post by dropping the last frame of every second.
