Where in London ? DVX100

Hi,

I am on the hunt for this cam but I dont seem to be able to find anywhere in London who has it to demo ?
I have to just buy it off the net & hope it suits me ???

Surely there is some of you dvx users in the uk who can point me to a good place to buy ?
Incidently - now that the AE or A models are out - can I pick up the original dvx100 e cheaper ?
Maybe there will be a flood of used or ex demo ones which will help me out since I am a poor student - anyone about to sell or has more info . on where to buy .. . in London UK ?

hello cain, i'm in the same boat as you, been looking for a demo model, one place to look for is in DV mags they have all these speaclist companys that sell DVX100 ( isaw one for £2500 allthough its retail is at £3700?), i really want to see the DVX footage in the "flesh" so to speak, i mean in one DV mag i read that one reader said that he had worked in building HD systems in the uk for ten years and HE was excited about using the dvx100!

Actually can anyone send a DVD PAL with actuall dvx100 footage? i'll pay for postage and blank DVD media costs, i'm sure cain would like on too :-)

just too add, why buy from the net??

get your self a DV mag and buy one from there, maybe i'm old fashioned but buying stuff over the net *Dodgy* when your talking about that kinda money! like sure i've got toilet tissue rolls mode entirley from fivers and golden toilet seats :D , whats more i happen to be a 2nd generation rich kid, like on of my friends always says Quote " All it takes is one swipe of the card" ..

£2500 - Im thinking the AE might worth waiting for.
Im sure It will be out in the next month or so & It would be a shame to spend that kind of money knowing - that alot of used /ex demo's will be on the market shortly from all the hardcore dv users who can't fight the addiction to new toys.(I might be one of those ;D )

I rang a few of the dealers listed on Pany's website & some of them talked about some ex demo's coming after xmas which would be around the £2000 mark.
I still would like to go to a showroom somewhere & check one out " in the flesh"  as you put it,  £150 for a day just to demo this cam just does'nt work for me.

true say, but i think its gonna be a while till dvx100a (pal version) hits our shores(if it does at all)
