Where do I find people to act in my movies?

I want to make some short, no-budget films.....
My friends are either to busy or uninterested with my hobby....
I started taking some acting lessons to meet people interested in acting, but things got pretty ugly with a girl there who bad-mouthed me to everyone, and now almost every one from there is avoiding me....

So....where do I find this people?:smile:

Clarence...it would be easier if you weren't "bad-mouthed" by your ex-girlfriend and/or could stay in the same crew BUT...the same rules apply. :smile: Actors just LOVE to act. Period. Find them and they will come. So, stick with your local theaters...Go to colleges, community theaters etc. If you can't/don't talk to them directly, talk to local theater producers or directors...they will point you in the direction of the actor type you are looking for. Or, they will try....
 
In a medium town from Europe....
There are two theaters here and one acting college but not much students...
I'm taking acting classes at a private school but we don't do much -just reciting poetry.... Also the other collegues are very young and unexperienced...
 
DVXuser, craigslist, any type of discussing boards. people are out there who want to act, you just have to reach them
 
go to pubs...don't seek out drunk people, just people who act somewhat natural when they drink. those poeple make for decent actors. believe it or not. family members are also great, because they don't get nervous around you.

eat out more often....chances are your server is an out of work actor...Baraboom
