Where do I buy lavaliere mics with long cables?

[shihku7]

I'm trying to find XLR lavaliere mics with at least a 20 foot cable length. I can't seem to find any mics with cables much longer than 6 feet.

Do most people just use XLR extension cables for the short cabled mics?

Yup, that's pretty much what they do.

Lavs that are terminated with XLR connections often have XLR barrels with belt clips. Just run XLR cable the rest of the way and you'll be fine.

These mini tie mics are unbalanced and you need to keep the cable as short as possible to minimise radio interference.

After the XLR the cable is balanced, so use an XLR extension cable to get the length you require.
